IDEAS FROM THE CHEF:
Can serve rice topped with gumbo and chopped green onions as garnish with a side of crusty bread. Or, mix the thawed rice into the gumbo as it is heating.
DIRECTIONS: Thaw gumbo and rice. Heat gumbo slowly, stirring frequently. Don't let it boil as it will stick to the pan. Sprinkle the rice with a bit of water and heat in 325° oven, covered so as not to dry it out. If you just want to mix it into gumbo, add thawed rice to gumbo about 5 minutes before serving.
